It was a St George's Day Tea Party we had on Saturday for our Spring get together.

As it was all in aid of the 'British Heart Foundation' this time, I thought we'd do some Redwork and get back to some basic stitching which is great for those newbies that might be less confident in their hand sewing. The other aim of the day was just to take it easy and relax. There was no pressure to finish the work as it could be taken home afterwards, (but I hope it can be kept as a reminder for them all to slow down every time they look at it).

Nice and simple, with only two stitches required to make any of the designs. The smaller the stitching is made, the easier it is to get around those lovely curves!!

The designs can also be altered, as this one preferred to say 'A Sew Day is a Lovely Day'.

The feedback was that everyone had a lovely time and the food provided for lunch from the cafe at Rainton Meadows was scrummy. But the best part was, from the money raised (from our raffle and £1 from each party ticket sold, as well as from some other donations), we made a grand total of £192 for the charity! 👏👏👏 So thank you ladies for your continuous support and thank you Jen for your help selling the raffle tickets again.
