A French Lavender Summer Party

Updated: Jul 15

We should all have slept well last night after such a mindful day relaxing in a room that was full of the smell of lavender.

'Lavender Haze' prints now available

A French Stitching Tea Party

Why French? Well that was because guests were learning how to do the 'Boutis' technique which is an elegant, decorative, 'raised' style of stitching. Quite sought after in the past as Boutis has been around in France for hundreds of years and was often used to embellish clothes, baby layettes, bags and other homeware. Traditionally done 'white on white' we were working with colours too.

The Stitching Tea Party was in aid of 'Cancer Research UK' this time.

All proceeds from our raffle as well as £1 from every ticket sold went to the charity and the total came to £170.

So a huge thank you to everyone who contributed!

So Let's See How The Projects Turned Out

Simple but effective?

A good time was had by all and we all enjoyed the food supplied by the 'Meadows Cafe'. Thanks to Angela and the team for the food.

The Autumn tea party is full I'm afraid and the 'Spring Tea Party' date will be added to the website soon.

See you all at the next one.

Sharon
