Class Information

The class list below is just a taster of those on offer. Sharon can teach a wide range of sewing, embroidery, patchwork, quilting and more. As well as painting on paper or fabric. Based in the North East, Sharon can travel if you have a craft group that would like to have some tuition elsewhere. Just get in touch and we can see what can be arranged.

Paint & Stitch Workshop

This is a full day class which explores how to firstly paint with watercolours before we attempt to paint onto fabric. By the afternoon we then look at how to hand stitch onto your own design. This is ideal for beginners who have never even painted, or sewn before. Come along and find out that you can!

Hand Quilting Class

We all love to make a quilt top, but how do you sew the layers together? This class covers how to hand quilt, in lots of different ways.

Applique Technique Classes

There are quite a few different ways of doing applique and its sometimes it's hard to know which one to use and when. Classes can be given in a range of applique techniques. Is there one in particular you would like to learn? Then get in touch.

Alternatively teach yourself at home with Sharon's Little Raggy Quilt Course.

Floral Watercolour Class

This is a shorter class for beginners in which you will learn how to use watercolour paints to make a floral design.

Hexy Making Class

In this half day class, which is ideal for beginners, you learn two techniques in one lesson. First learn how to do 'English Paper Piecing', before trying your hand at a 'Quilt as You Go Hexy'. They both sound a lot harder than they actually as it's a relaxing, fun hand sewing class and very addictive once you know how.

One-to-One and Small Group Classes

However small or large your group, please get in touch and let me know what you fancy. Starting with a machine class in the comfort of your own home, by yourself? Or maybe at your house with a bunch of friends? I can teach how to use your new machine, or even help you take it out of the box? Maybe you fancy a get together for a little birthday treat? Just contact me with your ideas.

“Fantastic course learning the Intro to the Sewing Machine. It is an ideal course as the group numbers are small so you are given one to one time. Sharon is knowledgeable and very patient and makes you feel very comfortable and confident, would highly recommend"
